Meet the Houston Team Behind Woolsey Insulation Houston
When you call Woolsey Insulation Houston, you’re not getting a rotating cast of subcontractors. You’re getting the same small crew, job after job, people who know Houston attics the way you know your own street. We’re led by Glenn Hartley, and we stay small on purpose. Every technician who walks through your door is background-checked, uniformed, and has actually done this work in Houston heat long enough to respect it. That’s our whole hiring filter, honestly. Can you handle the work, and will you treat someone’s home like it matters? If the answer’s yes on both counts, you stick around.
Our People
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been installing insulation in Houston homes for 14 years, the last six of them with us. He’s our go-to for spray foam insulation, which is a two-part liquid that expands on contact and seals gaps airtight. It takes a steady hand and a real understanding of how foam behaves in a hot, humid attic, and Marcus has both. He’s certified in spray foam application and could probably draw you a diagram of ventilation requirements for a Houston roof without pausing. When he’s not in an attic, he’s restoring a 1978 Chevy pickup in his garage. He claims it runs. We’ve seen it in the parking lot exactly twice.
Sofia R., Senior Installer
Sofia handles most of our blown-in attic insulation work, which means she’s the one up there making sure coverage is even and the depth matches what we quoted you. She’s been with Woolsey for eight years and has a reputation for leaving a job site cleaner than she found it, which is part of The Kingswell Way we follow on every job. Sofia knows building science, and she’s quick to explain why airflow matters as much as R-value in a Houston attic. She grew up in the Heights and still lives there, so if she tells you your attic feels like a sauna, she’s speaking from direct, sweaty experience.
Dana W., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice you’ll hear when you call (903) 447-8369 at 3 p.m. or 3 a.m., because our phones are answered by a live person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She’s been coordinating insulation jobs in Houston for over a decade and knows how to schedule around Houston weather, Houston traffic, and the occasional Houston homeowner who only remembers their attic exists in August. Dana keeps the crew on schedule and makes sure every customer gets a written price before any work begins, no exceptions. She’s originally from Beaumont, and yes, she has opinions about boudain. No, we don’t bring it up on jobsites. Usually.
Trevor B., Apprentice
Trevor’s our newest team member, a year into learning the trade under Marcus and Sofia. He started with us after working residential construction in the Houston area, and he’s already earned his OSHA 10 certification. Right now he’s focused on attic prep and air-sealing work, learning how heat moves through a Houston attic in July and why gaps around can lights matter more than people think. Trevor’s the guy who double-checks everything twice, which we appreciate. He also makes a smoked brisket that’s genuinely worth the two-week notice he gives us before bringing some in.
One Standard, Every Job
Woolsey Insulation Houston is independently owned and operated as part of the Kingswell family, and that’s not corporate boilerplate. It means we answer to our customers, not a franchise office in another state. Every job runs the same way: a written price before work starts, a background-checked technician in uniform, a clean job site when we leave, and a written guarantee on the work itself. If something isn’t right within 365 days, we come back and fix it at no charge. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it applies to every attic insulation or spray foam job we do in Houston. No fine print. No follow-up calls to chase us down. We put it in writing because that’s how Glenn has run this crew since he took it over, and it’s how we’ll run it tomorrow.
